With more and more people buying the Pro Angler as a family boat rather than an out and out angling boat, it wasn't a hard decision to make a new boat aimed purely for the family. Gone are the clinkers on the hull, gone are the rod holders and gone is the hard diamond pattern flooring. In is a brand new soft ride hull, in are a choice of folding rear corner seats or a full rear bench and in is a new smooth Tread Master floor or teak style upgrade.

The styling is unmistakingly "Warrior" with the sloping rear of the 175 and the rounded top sides and cuddy from the Pro Angler.

A change in materials was needed as this brand new hull had to not only match the strength of the existing Warrior range but at 17 foot it had to be towed behind a family car, a feature that had made the Pro Angler so popular. After substantial testing by a structural engineer, biaxial cloths were introduced, which in turn reduced the resin content and using a lightweight under floor matrix and structural foam in the floor construction a weight of only 1300kg was achieved for the full package. A combination of a new underwater shape and the new materials allows the hull to reach its top speeds in seconds and the deeper hull not only gives you a soft smooth ride but produces a larger wake, ideal for skiing, wake boarding or towing toys.

Features

The 170 Leisure has a double skinned interior moulding giving a smooth clean gel coated finish.The forward seating has three lockers, one of which can be used as a cool box and all fitted with lockable stainless steel fasteners. At the rear of the seating are handy pockets, ideal for stowing grabable items. The space between the forward seating has been made large enough to fix a Porta-Loo, a modesty curtain can be fitted to the cuddy for privacy. The steering consol can be fitted with flush fitting GPS Maps and a VHP radio, it is also fitted with a non return steering to make steering at high speeds very easy.

The self draining anchor locker is accessed through a large opening hatch in the cuddy and a large stainless bow roller and bollard is fitted. Two large rear stainless cleats and a large stainless towing eye in the bow complete the quality deck fittings. The floor has been covered with a smooth rubber and cork flooring made by Tread Master and recessed to protect its edges. Under the floor is a large locker, long enough to stow water ski's or even fishing rods

The rear engine well has large moulded steps to help climb on board and also allows the battery to be stowed in its own box. There is space for two five gallon petrol tanks, behind which is an electric bilge pump.
Two deluxe bucket seats fitted on seat boxes can rotate forwards or backwards and cushions are fitted as standard on the forward seat moulding. A choice of two folding rear corner seats, ideal for children, or a full size rear bench seat complete this all round family leisure boat.
